I think it revs automatically on downshift. Electronic heel toe function. Those guys are my heroes
I read in the DMN this week that trade in prices for late model pickemups have climbed $3000 since beginning of the year. Used car dealers can not keep enough of late models in stock. With diesel down to $1.99/gal, now is the time to unload the truck at a decent price before fuel prices start to go back up (which they will - probably by this summer)
I say go for it, $18k difference for an 08 Z06 sounds like a great deal.
...........
But don't dump the trailer, you may have to live in it
It is about a 32K difference. Yes, my truck booked 14.5K last summer with 80K miles. It booked 17.5K last week with 98K showing. He said with nobody buying new cars, there is no internal turnover to the used lot. So they are having to go to auction and buy inventory there. People are not buying 40-50K vehicles now no matter what the rebates are.
I drove an 07 I may trade C5 Z06 in for a C6 Z06 silver lightly modded.
I have driven dozens of C6's. The engines are all similar tame below 3K and like to be at 4-6,5K for pulling. The 427 is a totally different torque curve. It reminds me of the S/C Lightning. I was surprised when it came sideways from a 1,600 rpm roll on. The torque was massive and instantaneous. It did slow down in 4th and 5th though. It either needs gears or a power adder. I want it to rocket to 160+ like a sport bike. I was WOT in 4th waiting and waiting for 140 to come...
