I'll bring the trailer with the usual goodies generator, radio, batt charger, misc tools, jack etc. I will also try and bring the jet heater just in case. So we should arrive at the track ready to eat lunch?

Just to clarify for everyone attending tomorrow at Thunder Valley. The fee at the gate will be $8 for spectators and $15 for Test & Tune. This money will go to the track. I (or a designated person to be named later) will collect money for the BBQ ($10) and the TFC race fee ($20). There will be buy-backs for 1st round losses only. The $10 buy-back fee will be collected before the second round starts.
I hope to have a drivers meeting by 2:30 PM with racing to start hopefully by 3PM. Dial-in numbers can be changed for each race. All questions will be answered at the driver's meeting. Breakfast at 9 AM at the Cracker Barrel in Denton for those interested and leaving said location by 10 AM. :nana2

Si... I will post up at the end of the week, but plans are to leave Cracker Barrel at 10 AM. http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif
I went back and looked and all of my posts and they are consistant. Breakfast at 9AM leave at 10AM. Having said that, it is not a planned event, but just thought folks might want to have breakfast before we leave. Not a big deal either way...
I wont be making it out, this time. I gotta work. I can't pass up time and half for sundays.
I might just get some taquito's on the way... :)
But I will be there by 10am...
Looking forward to the day...
Anyone know what that shiny stuff under my motor is? :D

We had another mishap on the way home just as we were about to get on the interstate- glad everyone is OK:)
trucks and motors can be replaced people can not
Don't post **** like this and not give up the story. Is everyone okay? Trucks okay?

Glad everyone is ok
The nighttime pictures suck but you get the idea
I created a category for the Fall Classic - if you have pictures please add them there - they will also appear in your gallery
Doug
Someone want to tell us WTF happened to that truck and who it is?
:(
Thank god he is OK. That looks like some serious damage. I didn't think about the issue of discussing the accident online. Makes sense though. Someone could take about anything posted and twist the crap out of it to win a legal issue.
Whoever it is....sorry for the bad luck.
Thank goodness nobody was hurt.
You guys play hard.
One messed up motor (sorry to see that Dennis :( ) and one truck less on the road.....a bad day that could have been much worse.
I wasn't there but I can tell who's truck it is :( That really blows
Sorry to hear of the accident for whom-ever involved, but glad to hear that this particular TALON driver is alright.:o I think I can figure out who it is, as well.
Take care,
Ronald
Thanks Talon for being there. A special thanks to Steve for driving me home although he did make me pay for gas "no one rides for free" his words.
I was involved in a two car accident and my understanding is the two passengers in the other vehicle are ok. :D
This is first and foremost in my mind.
Second this was a hard hit and I am lucky that the safety equipment in my vehicle did it's job.
I walked away and other than a sore hand I seem to be OK. I really thought I would be in much worse shape today.
Obviously my L is probably toast and I will be on the prowl for a new L when the dust settles.
The carnage will be at my shop later today in Denton I am having it towed from OK
Well, that explains why we didn't get passed on the way home last night. When we were the only ones to get through the light in Purcell, Ronny and I figured it would only be a matter of time before we were overhaulled. Glad no one was seriously hurt. Like Steve-0 said, trucks (and motors) can be easily replaced.
Im Glad No one was hurt, Good thing You guys came back togather and you were not straned there. I too was looking on to see if you guy's were going to pass us on the way home or not.
Wow I am glad everyone is ok. I would have came but my truck was acting up and so I didn't want to take a chance. I hope the event was fun other than the wrecks and blown engines.
That transmission was shot anyway:evil . Holler at me when you see it and we'll put what we can back to stock.
Sorry to hear about that John. Just glad everyone was OK. Beside the couple of set backs i had a good time.:)
Sorry to hear about your misfortune John. Glad that no one was hurt (other than egos). I left about 30 minutes ahead of the last group. Misfortunes aside, I had a good time.
John, glad you are OK and not feeling the effects today. glad to have met you yesterday always want to put a face to the screen name.
Doug,I heard you on the radio last nite as I passed you, I was trying to catch the group in front of you as I thought that you was rolling in a "pass me mode" since everyone else in front of you took off. I passed them as they were at a Conaco station in Denton(Mike & Wes) I know.We got to work on our convoy back techniques.
Steve-O, we need to get together this week and see what the "fly by" video tape has to offer like we talked about yesterday plus show me a thing or two about posting.
Sixer, good job, really liked the trophies, make me wanna do a few burnouts and take Da" Toy Truck" down the 1320, you will come back stronger as you seemed to be smiling more than I have at any time when any one of my 5 Mustang motors exited stage left.
Overall an eventful day even my grandson had fun although he crashed out in the end and most of the trip home. Thanks to all for being nice & friendly to him I bet he's just running his yapper big time in school today about it.:tu:

DAMN the bad luck, guys!! a friggin shame!
glad everyone is safe. better luck with the do-overs.
John, glad to hear your doing alright today, considering what happened
It was a pretty scary sight to be able to see the underside of a Lightning in the air, I mean the car that hit John was moving pretty fast to lift it up in the air, if you look at the pics in the gallery you can see where the driver side rims/tires are messed up from where the truck landed and came back down, luckly it wasnt a taller truck or it would have rolled over, luckily we still had a good number of people and had Doug, Derrick and others to help block traffic
It was a good day though, thanks again Silky for the BBQ, the left over ribs made for a good lunch :tu:
Wes and I were making pretty good time getting to Jeff-ro's to watch the rest of the Cowboy game, if we knew how they were playing we might not have driven so fast
Had a great time at the fall classic. I hope everyone enjoyed the food.
John, Don't worry bro you can get another L. Very Very glad to hear you are OK! Let your Talon brothers know if we can help you out in any way.
:tu:
All,
I had a great time and it is always fun to see the faces and trucks.
Sorry to see Dennis go out so early...
Sorry to see the other L crunched...
Good to see we have a great group of guys willing to help out...
I was wandering why I didn't get passed on the way back... my Gen 1 with 140k miles doesn't like going 90 for long periods of time... so I was trying to get in front of the group in case anything happend on the way back.
I appreciate all the help along the way to the finals... not sure I actually had to beat anyone heads up until the Top Dawg race (which I lost). Everyone either broke out or red lighted I think.
Thanks to Dennis for all the work and effort that went into the event... I thought it was great... Wish we would have seen some of the OK boys there... I thought the facility was nice, although the 60' prep could have been a little better.
The BBQ was also great. Those sausages made you think twice before getting some more. :)
Thanks,
Ignore the 1/4 mile times... just focus on the win... :)

BTW... Thanks to Doug for taking ton's of pictures.
