It was good for me... a new PB at 11.59, best 60 ft also, so track prep was good, much better than Hallsville. Shut down area was not an issue.

Ok, so what was good and what was bad about the track?
Dana:confused:
It's old, it's tight, it's bumpy, with guardrails and trees, if you have a problem it would require some skill to escape.Quote:

Good track prep to the 1/8.
It is really a 1/8 mile track if you are fast.
Wow - great news on the PB - I found the traction to be lacking on my F1's and on the stock tires on the supercharged 2006 harley of logansQuote:

How much did it cool after I left ? When did you run your best run ? Early or late ?

I didn't really have any problem with the track because I knew what to expect from my previous trip. I did take issue with the change in fees from what I had previously arranged with the track owner. And probably more than anything, really had a problem with their lack of concern about the issue not to mention the attitude that some the hired help had. They won't have to bother with us again for sure. :(
First pass, 80+ degrees I think.Quote:

My issue with the track had more to do with safety than prep. The part of the track that was prepped(the first eighth mile) was fine. I really didn't feel comfortable with trees along the track. The shut down was a bit short...but not as bad as it looked when first seeing it.
The track personal had something of an attitude.
Over All...worst track I have ever visited. Based mostly on the tree lined, very tight, lanes. I won't be going back there.
One more thing...I really would love to meet the two Joe Bobs that saw a hunk of unused highway along a creek and decided to call it a race track. This is what you would call, old school race track building...;) ....Texas Style...:rll:
So, where are the pics?
I had fun! First time racing at the track, not bad... But damn it was in the middle of nowhere!
It's old alright, heard some of my older co-workers sayinig they went out there back in the 50's. It's the closest track to Austin but alot of us make the trek to San Antonio Raceway (On I-10 between Seguin & San Antonio).Quote:

All the pictures turned out blurry due to slow shutter speed. Hopefully, some one else got a few pics.Quote:
