Found out Friday that I'm having surgery for a torn rotator cuff on Dec 2nd. Guess I am also hoping for rain on the 3rd. I probably wont be able to race on the 10th, but I will be able to travel and watch. I also think that I can find a designated driver for my truck. I would add a nana or two to Wes' dance line, but do not want to jinks the job.

Be sure and let me know something ASAP, I need to clean off my Kitchen counters before we can begin.
Rocks:tu:
P.S. It will be a day surgery, so bring somebody that can drive you home:cool: .
i have a buddy that is coming down with me and I was wondering if he would be able to run his bike during test and tune, we are putting nitrous on it this week and he was wanting to run it in the quarter to see what it would do, so we were going to load it up in the back of the L if there wasnt anyone that had a problem with it?
Already checked....there will be available test and tune time for anyone who comes out to the track. Basically the track is open for regular T&T, but is also running our program and the Buick/Olds program....
If you can improve my eye-right foot coordination at the same time and If you accept Medicare, maybe we can make a deal.:rll:
Deer processing is a BIATCH! :crying: Even with plenty of beer, brothers and cousins that know what to do.

Distance to Hallsville was always an issue for the Austin/San Antonio guys. I always suspected that it was just an excuse. I'm OK with it being just a TALON event, but folks are still welcome if they want to show up. :cool:Quote:

So anywho....it would be nice to see a list of who is planning to go. Maybe we should do a, "are you going thread".
I will be there...and the plan is for Howard to be there doing some video footage:eek: .
Rocksknana
count me in:tu:
I'll be there this year
I'll be there with the Supercharged 06 Harley... :D This oversized pig needs a run down the track for some baseline ET's...
1 week from today. Gates open at 2PM. :nana2
It'll be great to see everyone again... knana
when will the raindate decision be made ?
I wouldnt mind it getting delayed till the 10th
Doug
I would expect the track to make a decision by Friday night or at least early enough on Saturday to keep us from making the trip down.
I am trying to remember who went last year that has not posted up for this year's event...
Where is...
WA 2 FST
Sonic Blue Tommy
Bobby Wade is out
Scott would not be invited
Who else?
Is the weather calling for a good possibility of rain, or are we just speaking of what if here?Quote:

Linky for directions if you don't know
http://maps.yahoo.com/dd;_ylt=Ai8dBR...=us&oerr=-3001
Link didn't work for me but it appears you searched "Little River". That is a town and not the track. The track is just south of Academy on hiway 95.
From I-35 take Loop 363 north of Temple. Turn left and cross over I-35. Stay on that road and it will become Hiway 95. After you go through the town of Academy you will cross the Little River(the river, not the town) and the track will be on your right.
Hey Dennis,
As a non-Lightning owner I was pretty much ignoring all the TFC stuff, but it just occurred to me that I do own a vehicle, and a truck at that. And it has been a long time since I made a 1/4 pass. Would anyone mind a SD joining in?
Or I could bring the C5, but I'd hate to see it get spanked by all the L's. ;)
Terry, you think the Old Man Tan beast could handle a few passes without any terminal meltdown? What'ya figure, high 13's maybe?

Let's just see how that sounds:
Headline....December 4, 2005..... Ford Lightning proves to be no match for Chevy, proud C5 owner Takes local Lightning Club Title.
I dunno....maybe it will have special meaning to the GM crowd, but it stinks just a little from my perspective :rll: :rll: :rll: .
Rocks:)
he could run the test n tune, turn into a fun and grudge
Well, yeah. My momma' coulda' told you that a loonngg time ago. :DQuote:

See you out there. It should be fun. I've watched some pretty quick diesels going down the track. SCT put a temporary tune on mine at FFW Ennis this year. The darned thing was running low 15's without a problem.Quote:

Rocks
I be there but I need to leave about 6 to head back to Dallas -
Ill deliver the pictures, take a few pictures and make a T&T run or 2 and head back to a B day party....
Doug
PS anyone planning on pickingup your Group pictures BRING a tube of some kind. Even a paper towel tube will help keep the picture from getting damaged - The PT tube is about an inch too short for the big pictures but its better than nothing
What time is all this starting/ending?
Here is my number....... 214-679-4600
So did all of yall think TAD sucked as much as the waco crew did? Also the guy with the 06 harley truck, is he on this board?
I have pictures ill post up later, dont know if I got everyone but alot.
I bet I thought it sucked even more than you did. I have been to tracks all over the country. TAD is, beyond any doubt, the worst track I have ever raced at.Quote:

I've been here so long, I have sores on my butt... :D
Ever since linda took it back over from greg it has went downhill fast.
Logan I PM'd you.
I've been to worse, but I am in agreement that we don't need to consider the track for next year's event. We will focus on Thunder Valley and get things worked out by the end of next summer so we won't get caught without a track like we did this year. Thanks to all those that showed up to support TALON yesterday. :tu:
