Im down for the Talon Fall Classic
I'll be stopping by Scott's trophy place today to order trophies.
Heads up class winner
Brackets 1st - 4th
Reaction Time
Closest to dial
Also being that the trucks are getting faster and faster, several being in the 11's and a couple in the 10's perhaps it's time to have 1-2-3 for fastest ET's/heads up racing instead of just brackets.
Just a thought

My thoughts on heads-up is as follows; I think the fastest truck at the event should be recognized. If we have a heads-up class, I would assume that the lowest ET would come out of that event. I don't see an additional fee for running both classes, so there would be nothing preventing someone from running brackets and also running heads-up. Assumption is that the winner in heads-up would have the quickest ET, but maybe not. We can add a lowest ET like years past if we want. Also the $20 racing fee should put some money into the pot for the overall heads-up class winner. I am willing to donate all revenue over the cost of the trophies to the heads-up winner if folks don't have a problem with that or maybe a 75%/25% of pot money for 1st & 2nd. Maybe the OKC guys show up, maybe not, but I think I will start promoting to other forums this weekend. Any help would be appreciated in getting this off the ground. ThunderValley is a nice track and the time I was there, it was very well run.
I'll help where needed as well Dennis.
If you need some help with the trophy thing with Scott let me know. It's about 5 mins from my house, I know it's a trek from your place.
Let me know if you need anything.

Just noticed this thread. I would love to attend. But it's nearly 600 miles each way:( probably a bit far at that time of the year. I will try though, would be great to see you guys again.
I just saw the thread. I am marking my calender. I will be there unless the is another nuclear test in the world. But life is good seee yaaa:tu: mp
I'm there! Looking forward to it. :tu:
Might make my 1320 debut there... :throw: Don't look for anything spectacular because i dont really wanna blow it up the first few weekends with it out! :rll:
Plus we (some ARLOC guys) gotta get some revenge from that truck from NM if he shows up... :D
Frank
Would be cool if you could make it. We changed up the trophies last year so you might want to add a nice little crytal one to your trophy collection this year. A much longer haul for James, but I'm sure if you harrassed him enough, he would seriously consider making the trip. :D
Updated information at the start of this thread. Continue to sign in if you are going to be there and I will start a list on the first page. Trophies were ordered today so plan on being there December 3, 2006 at Thunder Valley in Noble, OK. :nana2
Some have asked, Where are it? Look no futher than:
http://www.okthunder.com/directions.htm
Track is 140-miles (give or take) from I35-W and I35-E merge in Denton.
sign me up:D
Is it too late to add one more class?
"1/8 mile TRUE street tire heads-up shootout"
Like the one we did a few years back at Denton. We had some good times.
I could get a trophy and maybe a little $$ if it was a go.
I tried to nudge Rocks out of his garage with some VIP door to door service but he didn't bite on the offer. No Rocks vs. Hogg rematch this year;) .
How well are they going to prep the track they are know to be conservative with there prep I cannot run there on a test and tune track prep.
this would be cool to make, but i think i will have to wait till next year till the L is in better shape@
Trophies will be picked up next week. There are a few guys that have talked about meeting at the Crackerbarrel in Denton for breakfast at 9AM. I will be there for some pam cakes. About a two drive from Denton.
I hope my Christmas miracle comes early. I have a truck completely torn apart. I just got the block back from machining. I have to build an engine, build a transmission, install both. Install a new blower and fuel system. Break in, tune and be race ready all in a week:eek2: . I will give it my all as usual..

still planning on going, but havent gotten my blower back from whipple yet
I'll be there....
Whaaat- that's been the hilight of the last few years Fall Classics with a follow up to Dennis vs Mark. The later should be good since they are both sporting KB's.
Anyone with a built motor and KB? Used to be Wesman- no telling what tricks he has up his sleeve now
Maybe we can find a good match up for the built motor/whipple combo (Michael) this year.
Honestly it will be a long shot for me to be race ready for the TFC this year, I still dont have M&H rubber for my 16" bogarts, havent had time to see Brandt about them, still have to get the truck back to Terry's to install the fuel pumps get the exhaust welded up getting rid of the bassani exhaust clamps, install the drive shaft loop, buy new drag radials, pay Terry the money still owed to him, and the Whipple isnt going to be here for another 2-4 days, plus the motor only has 300 miles on it with the break in tune, so I will probably just be hanging out this year
You'll have to find someone else to whoop up on Steve-o :D
I might have to dust-off Suzie to run her up to Tulsa for this visitation weekend with the Parents separately and make a bonzai-run back down to Norman/Noble for the return convoy.
I haven't road-tripped in the L since the HOU/Marathon-Oil days. This might be fun - the Will-Roger's Tpk is a blast in the L.knana
Ronald
Forecast Calls for high of 46 any need for concern with respect to tune or amount of boost. I am running the cold tune and putting down about 12 lbs currently
If you don't run at least 15-16psi you're a wuss!:D Fuel fuel fuel is your friend make sure you have plenty O' octane.
I am about out of race fuel at the shop, anyone confirm what they are going to have at the track for fuel?? thanks!
