    Your first car

Ran across this cool site that has copies of brochures of most american cars. See if you can find your first car.

Mine was a 1950 Chevy convertible (in real rough condition when I got it)

My very first was this in brown.. a lovely color for a wagon.

I have had over 40 other cars since. My favorite car that I had early was my Opel GT.. poor mans excuse for a miniature Vette. that 4 cylinder rocked.

My next was a Mazda RX3, that rotary engine could rev pretty darned quick and I put fear into Pintos everywhere.

Then there was my first Ford. A Pinto Country Squire station wagon.. that was a chick magnet. But it was a great beach car for Houston. Lots of room to put stuff in it. I kept it clean and made sure the fake wood trip was Armor All'd all the time to look really sharp.

Bought at age 16, a 65 GTO for $200 from a guy who worked for the family business, 389, 4sp, 3 douces. Car needed alot of work but was solid. I never got a chance to even drive the car as we moved to Texas & the last thing I saw was the car on a wrecker rolling down the street. My mother said I couldn't take it so I gave it away. All the cars Ive owned in the last 39 years which is alot & lost count, this is the car I wish I had back.

I understand. I had the opportunity to buy a cherry '75 Olds 442 for $1500. Mom said no, and a year later I ended up paying twice as much for the Cougar. I still give her a hard time about not letting me buy that 4-4-2.
