Its been said before but Ill say it again

These pictures have more impact complete.

I know that you dont necessarily get all the parts, put you keep posting pictures of polished pieces - not completed things. Post pictures of the completed gun and it will POP.

Obviously people don't send their cars/trucks for me to put their parts back on and then take photos (most customers do not take the time to send me photos after they get the parts on the vehicle) nor do they send their magazines, handles, screws, barrels and other parts for their guns that aren't being polished for me to put back together, so I can take a photo. This is just not feasible, so I have to either take a photo of the polishing after the work has been done or just don't have any photos at all.

I actually know that taking a photo of the polished part is better than nothing at all and actually when customers call they almost always compliment on the photos on the website without me even bringing it up at all, so I guess it does have a real world impact out there.

That being said a customer did actually send me photos of his engine compartment recently which is of a Ford Lightning and I will be posting photos in this section soon.

I wonder if I have a gun I'd like to have polished like that.....I'll have to think about it. Only downside being that it may require an FFL.

Ultimate-Bright SS on the Colt Gov't Model .45 is an "acquired taste". Why the chromed-top of the slide versus a parkerized/flat-finish given the carry sights? Is this a show-piece?

Either way, good job on the .45!

I have a S&W 39-2 that has an ultri bright nickle plating. We put mother-of-pearl grips on it and call it our "bling-bling gangsta" gun. It looks new with no scratches, but it doesn't look this good. Shoots like a dream though!

The reason I asked was the Colt Gov't Model .45 UB-SS slide-top was a flat-finish evidently to reduce any reflected glare between the front and rear carry-sights.

I am not sure exactly what the customer will be using this gun for, but I were to guess I would say it would probably be a show piece and have occasional use.

I did talk to the customer BTW and they said that they would send photos after everything is together...we shall see. Once they send photos I will post them on here, but they will be on the website under "customer cars"....I know...I need to rename that to something else.

Yes, exactly. Shows what you've done with the raw product. A mirror polished 1911 isn't my style, but a good set of before and after pics gives you an opportunity to showcase your skills. And Dana's idea of a discount on future service may be a good way to incent your customers to send you some clean "after" pics.
