Why is it I hear oil is down for the third day straight yet fuel keeps rising. The fuel companies are making over 6 billion a quarter in profits!!!! Not gross, there needs to be a reckoning!:Bullshit

Cost me $92 to fill up Friday, and the Love's at 67/287 changed their price four times in 36 hours. :flaming: I just don't believe that they're buying that much fuel, and merely "passing on" price increases from the distributors.

Story I heard was they are passing along the price of the NEXT refilll from the distributor :eek2:

I read a whole page about this on the MSN web page. They say that oil to gas is not a 1:1 ratio. If oil is low, it doesn't necessarily mean that gas will be low. It all has to do with the economy as a whole. They used the example of "If the price of cotton drops, it doesn't mean that the price of a Armani shirt will drop."

Sort of odd getting cut off at $50 before topping-off the Liberty on 87 at Kroger.

Yeah the stupid fill limits at the pumps drive me crazy. I usually make two transactions to fill up every time.

Let's see, fuel prices are falling like a rock the same week that all of the oil companies are reporting on their 3rd quarter profits. Coincidence? Call me a cynic, but methinks not.

I filled up today for 2.59 a gallon and still 112.81 for 43.4 gals. I was glad the TFS let me stretch my 2.64gal fillup from last Thursday to today when gas came down 70 cents a gal:rolleyes: . 16.32mpg ain't bad for that last tank eh B? Loaded down, 4wd, idle time etc:bows . A gas motor would be sucking on 12-13mpg for the same work load:tongue: .

Good to see diesel prices coming down a bit. Regular gas ia in the $2.39 range now as well. Just wonder how long it is before they spike the prices for the Holiday travel season.

For once prices are really dropping in California. I think I paid $2.69 a gallon for 87. I can fill up my commuter for less than $30 now.
