Vanilla Ice had a 5.0 but I got a 6.0:D . I jsut got back from delivering a customers truck to BFE up in the Panhandle north of Amarillo. I left at noon and just got back a 4am. I can't believe how much fuel I went through:eek2: ouch ouch ouch... Of course I guess towing a 10,000lb brick 70-80mph is a little bit of work. Bad news is the mileage wasn't much better on the way back. I guess the wind resistance is most of the load not just the weight. Oh yeah, the Nextel doesn't work past Wichita Falls:hammer: . I also visited the 6666 Ranch:evil . Pics later.

There was a dirty sherriff rolling a Mustang and sniping folks with radar west of Childress. He pulled up along side me on the way back at night. I guess he liked staring at my pillar gauges..

I totally feel ya on the diesel fuel Terry....My weekly Miami,Fl. round-trip of about 3000 miles consumes right at 500 gallons :hammer: . I usually get there on about $500 bucks but it costs $600 to get back because fuel is $2.30 per gallon :bs . With my gross weight around 75,000 lbs, ( truck & trailer 35k, load 40k) I'm able to get right at 6 mpg provided I can keep my foot out of it. Its set at 430 hp (on the pedal) and 470 hp (on the cruise) with 1850 lb ft of torque :evil .

We are getting ready to go to Arkansas for a swap-meet and am really not looking foward to having to stop every 150 miles to fill up! I had the muffler and cat taken off today so hopefully that will help with the milage. Loaded I would get about 6mpg but I really hope it's better now.
