View Full Version : WTT 6#'r for 4#'r

I have a 6# pulley I am wanting to trade for a 4#'r. With my recent addition of a ported blower I'm very concerned with the wellfare of my bottom end! Also, I don't want to spike the voltage on the Stock MAF and risk blowing something either!

I'm going to have way too much for this stock bottom-end I'm affraid if I keep this 6#'r. But if nobody wants_needs to trade than I'll just see how long it lasts!

I really need some Long tubes!

thats also with a magnums power blower, did you have an upper pulley? that seems kinda high for just a 4#

adam's seeing 15-16 with ported blower, 4# and 2.8"

I can tune it to run that 6#, it will take your funny air tube and a dyno tune:evil .

I ditched my funky MAF, or are you talking to Mike?
I do want a dyno tune just waiting on the funds.
Hey Terry, At what power level or boost will the stock MAF spike or become ineffiecant?

stock MP upper, 4lb lower, longtubes = 16/17psi

Your funky MAF tube will work on a ported blower it just needs some hand tuning. Adam runs about 4.92 volts on his setup. Without headers for scavenging you'll just be stuffing air into the cylinder with nowhere to go:D . Keep the funny tube handy.

I'm really confused here Terry. I thought that the MAF tube that I had was hard to tune. Now it sounds like your telling me I need it? :confused:
Your my tuner tell me what to do! Do we need to change my tunes back for the funky MAf tube or keep them like they are? When do I need to step up to the SCT Big Air or do I with my Funky MAF tube?

You confuse me jackass. The funnytube is a ghetto larger MAF which you need a larger MAF with a ported blower and pulley, headers etc... They are hard to asstimate tune they need a little dyno time to get perfect. The stock MAFs are easier to tune in the parking lot.

O.k. I just wanted too make sure that I was doing what you needed me to do to make it easier to tune for now. I'll keep the funny tube around untill I can get a dyno tune. I've already pu the stock MAF back on it for now. I want to add some headers before the dyno tune though! I think those are going to be a must for me now!

Keynan said he wanted my 6# pulley and wanted to swap it at your house Saturday. My truck is still down so I'll just be bringing the pulley. Is this o.k.? If you already have other plans we can make other arrangments.
