Without some huge arse exhaust! Here is my new Magnaflow 4" stainless system:cool: . This is an essential building block for diesel economy and performance. A 4" system generally lowers EGT (exhaust gas temps) 1-200 degrees under load. A must have for anyone carrying more than groceries. Smoking deals coming soon!

What gains can you expect from that? hp, mileage, etc.

The stock tune runs pretty hot with the restrictive stock exhaust. We can only pull about 20hp more out of a stock exhausted truck. The EGT limits for these engine are about 12-1400 sustained. The 4" turbo back system lowers EGT's about 200 degrees allowing a lot more power to be made. With a 4" system we can dial up to 130 more HP and 280 more ft lbs torque. An economy tune will yield about 4mpg and make another 60hp over stock. The exhaust by itself is worth 2mpg untuned and will make power faster with lower EGT's.
