I knew the '00 is feed from the back and the '01 is feed on the top. Are there any other differences?

jcblack,

I was looking at an exploded view of a '00 and '01 today. The '00 SC upper plenum bolts in the very back. The '01 bolts on top in the back of the SC.

PoorSvtman,

Are you talking about the upper plenum bolt pattern or the SC mounting bolt pattern?

s/c bolts it self........ For example. a 01+ up blower wont bolt up to a 99-00 intake

What he said. There are no power advantages between the two.

I was told by my local Ford parts guy that the gasket between the SC and the intake is the same between the two year models and the gaskets has the same sku number.

Ever the MM&FF article I just read said the Eaton is unchanged for the '01 but the intake itself it got bigger ports.

Sorry, that cannot be a true statement cause I have the exploded view diagrams from Ford and the SC is different how the upper plenum bolts to it.

Then why does ford rate the power to 380 for '01-'04 and it is 360 for '99/'00?

More than likely just different tunes in the pcm. But to be honest i think the 99-00s were under rated from the factory do to emissions and all that jazz

all 1999-2004 Lightning Eatons have the same intake/inlet style, from the top.
(the 03-04 Cobra Eatons enter from the rear). The bolt pattern did change a little as did a larger MAF (vs. 80mm), 3.73 ring & pinion (vs. 3.55s) on the '01s

The increased the hp from 360 to 380 due to a redesigned lower intake and intercooler in 01 along with the addition of clear lamps and 3:73 gears. They also went from an 80mm MAF to 90mm.

got a closer look at this specific '00 at Covert,
It's got a bed liner, but the inside of the tail gate looks rough, bumper has a few scratches. I'm guessing it may have been wrecked? Rear glass is one piece, no slider. The exhaust is very ghetto, dual (1) chamber flowmasters and they didn't put much effort in the tail pipes, smaller than stock pipes and the shoot straight out the side, vs. angled lining up with the body panel. Heard it's got 58k and asking $19,995 Calipers are painted baby blue, this truck could use some TLC for sure.

Man, thanks for the info. I had plans to go see the truck yesterday, but ended up having to work. I did find a L in SA this evening and plan on going to look at it tomorrow after work if it has not been sold.
