This was a great weekend for Bluto's 1/4 mile debute. After it was all said and done, Bluto came in second in the LS class.

Thanks to Flatsman for bringing the truck from FL and being the pit crew for the weekend...

The truck ran great and was very consistent in 13.9's all weekend.

Trevor and Fred,

Congrats on the second place! There was some pretty tough competition out there, and you know we were all behind you. Great job in that awesome Gen I!

It was a great weekend...

I had a ton of fun and really appreciate everyones advice and help throughout the weekend. I wouldn't have made it past the first round with out you all sharing your knowledge and tips.

I wouldn't have made it to the first round without the help and support of Flatsman who bought the truck for us and spent the past 6 months putting it together in time to drive it around the hurricans in Florida to get it to Texas in time for the awesome 20 plus truck caravan.

I should be able to make the two events coming up... We are doing some more work to the truck this week.

Again, thanks to all...

Hey Doug, You got that right! I think that is cash though. He gave me half of it for my share and I bought us both dinner at the Outback Stake House to celebrate! lol

Bluto was very tired from all the activity so I took the Truck over to Terry at Performance Research (http://www.talonclub.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=15) and we are getting some much needed work done to it. Terry installed some 4:10 gears and we found that we had 3:60's in the truck when I bought it. He is installing an Art Carr racing torque convertor that stalls at around 2400, installing some Rancho Bars, and fixing a front oil seal leak that the truck had when I bought it. He found a front tranny seal leaking and is fixing that also. The U-joints started going bad on the trip back home from Topeka and were about ready to drop out of the truck when I pulled into Terry's place on Wednesday, so those are being replaced also. Me and Sixpipes are planning to go to the Denton Dragway tomorrow night for a little shake down run before my "Pro Driver" gets back from vacation. I am expecting a new 1/8 best for the truck to put some pressure on Tobbun! lol
By the way, where did you find that picture? I screwed up and didn't get one!

I cant reveal the sources of the pictures... I was at dinner during the awards ceremony. As Terry said - I am the Internet Overlord ... That explains everything... :rll:

Damn, I keep forgetting about that "internet overlord" stuff! lol With your permission, I think I will steal that picture! I guess Tobbun is not an amature anymore now that he accepted money for racing. That makes him a track Ho or something ! I will give you a call tomorrow evening before me and the Sixer head out.:nana2

He was counting to make sure it was all there:rll: . Speaking of prize money, does anyone know if the fellows received their checks from JDM? I don't dare post this question on F150.

Hey Doug, Thanks for the picture! Me and Sixpipes went to the Denton track on Friday night and I was headed to a new "personal best" when Bluto eat a supercharger belt at mid track, on the first run! As you can tell it was hot and muggy on Friday night!

That is a great picture... Flatsman was experiencing some technical difficulties with the camera so we didn't get it.

I would rather have the trophy than the cash... $150 is not a lot of money, and Flatsman spent his half on dinner that night. I bought a couple of cases of root beer with my share...
