Did some custom cat-back action with Terry @ PR, feels stronger even though I wasn't expecting it. This was backed up at the track, my 1/8th mile times were down (at best) almost a tenth but my MPH were up.

New best 1/4 mile with mods: 13.26 @ 103.50 mph. :tu:

That was on a 2.03 60', so I've got a little more... maybe a 13.20 as it sits now. This was in 85 deg / 50% humidity, best air I've ever seen in the truck. With some tires I'd break 12's no problem.

Terry keep up the good work. Can't wait for the TB and 12's.

Your truck amazes me I wouldn't even have considered that last night:tu: Especially with your setup fully loaded on street tires at full pressure, reciever hitch, spare, stock TB, etc.. Keep it smokin:banana:

Yeah, that's with the spare under the truck, 1/4 tank gas, tail-gate up, hitch on the truck, stock TB, stock tires at 32 PSI (I think LOL), a driver that is hardly a light weight and 5 lbs of dirt on the truck. Ahahaha. Every time Terry sees my truck it's :nono: :hammer: .

Now you know why I dubbed it Dirty Little Secret. :d

Seriously though, that was the last run. Made at 12:00 exactly by their clock. It was worth the wait after that Mustang blew up.

are you talking about that '03 cobra that blew up at Ennis a few weekends ago??

No, 5.0 racer this friday. Serious car, blew his motor at about 60', caught fire and sprayed oil and parts down the entire track. The car was still burning, they had to spray it down at the far end. What a mess.

blklightning,

I've been wanting to have my intake ported, do you know of where i could go to get that done? I saw that as one of your things to do next.

thanks

Might want to check with Terry at Performance Research. I haven't even checked with him yet, just know it's on my list of things to do. I'll probably do TB, upper intake, headers and call it done (for now) and start on the Chevelle project. :tu:

That sounds like a good plan, do you think aftermarket headers would show a good improvement? i've been getting told that you won't notice much from the stock headers. thank you for the reply

You don't get much, but you do get a little bit. Depends on your other mods too.

Sometimes it's not about how much HP a mod adds. I'm not sure how headers effect it, but all of my mods only added 30 peak HP. And broadened the curve quite a bit, made a huge difference at the track. From a 14.04 to a 13.26. :tu:

Hey man, thanks for the info. are you going to go to that lunch on wed. at hooters in addison? i have so many other questions about performance like that cobra r water pump and electric fan.

Unfortunately I probably won't be going, I work weird hours and it usually doesn't let me go to the gtg's.

I know I sound like a broken record but I'd call Terry and ask him any questions you might have. He knows more about this stuff than I do, that's for sure.
