So, when and where's the next monthy shindig? I'll have much more time to come out and play as my final paper/presentation will be done July 24. Gradutation is August 2.

Anyway, just curious.

Gimme directions and I'll be there! Mom and Dad are driving in for the graduation Aug 1, so I might bring them, or I may have to leave early.

Never been there Steve, may have to hold a social committee meeting there soon! I am looking for a place to plunder Thursday night, hehe.:D

Is ther any way the meetings can be held on Wednesdays? Would this be more of a problem for the folks who are showing up now? I would like to start making the meets, but I have to work on Thursdays. No big deal, just want to join the group...

We ususally do the first Thursday of each month and there are other less-formalized, impromptu meetings throughout the month (drag racing, car shows, dinner, etc) that could be over the weekend or on other days. The first Thursday of the month has kinda become the standard and I don't know how attached to that day everyone is. I wouldn't mind, but I'm with Mr. Social Misdirector and the rest of the gang on this.

There's my nickel

What do you have for trade, like most officials I can be bought.:D

Do you need any aluminum plates or brackets made? I just made a plate out of 1/8" 7075-T6 for stang 460 to replace the step plate on a Gen I tube bumper. All it needs is to be polished or powder coated. Influenced yet? :burnout:

Get wth George(?) on that step plate. He wants one for his 93.:tu:

TXBLU

Is stang 460 not the George you're talkin' about? I loaned him some tools so he could replace his front ball joints last weekend. He seems like a good dude, if it's the same George. His L needs some serious TLC, but I think in time he'll get it straightened out.:tu:

Whoa, that T6 aluminum is pretty sturdy stuff. Do you fabricate flat sheet aluminum only?

Just curious ......:D

I have acccess to flat sheets up to 1/4" thick in addition to various extrusions. I can even get stainlees steel sheets up to about .090". And for those really demanding applications, titanium!!! Not sure about the max thickness on ti, but it sure makes for some stout brackets.:burnout:

AH HELL NO! :nono:

You think it needed TLC last week. Wait till you see it tomorrow Eric! While driving to work yesterday morning, a guardrail decided to jump out in front of me! Scuffed my paint, and front and rear bumpers have to be scrapped! My back wheels did a little of this...:burnout: Then I did this :crying: once I saw the damage

George G.
07-19-2002, 08:54 AM
Then I was this:flaming: and now feel like doing this :hammer: to myself.

Pretty good huh?!

And what's this about a limit on the number of smilies I can use in a post?

Sorry, I though Mexi-L was the new term for Hispanic L owners? Whatever that is what I read j/k;) Anyway, Sounds like he has the bumper plate down. I can still help with nut zerts and polishing:tu:

Sounds good. Now that I messed up my step bumper, I'll be getting my tube bumper ready a little sooner.

I thought it was somewhere in Arlington so that we can get the new TALON stickers as well. Although I've YET been to Bonedaddy's, I gotta increase my HP with one of those stickers.:burnout:

As long as I can ride with someone, LOL. Bonedaddy's would make for a good 1 year visit!

TXBLU

Oh, well. I guess I'll try to make a Saturday meeting, if there ever is one. Otherwise, I guess I won't.

Crawford
07-25-2002, 08:48 AM
I agree w/ Terry. Bonedaddy's would be cool. Not that is has anything to do with my birthday being on Monday or anything. :D

TXBLU,
Can you make it to an Addison Hooters lunch thing?

99WhiteBeast
07-25-2002, 09:08 AM
We should have the Talon sticker ready by next week in the reduced size as requested. It will be small enough to fit the center window.

The guy I'm working with will have 20 ready and can apply them if you want. I would recommend that since it is a 4 piece design. He lives in Arlington but I'll see if I can buy him dinner if we decide on Bonedaddies

It would be worth a trip to Arlington to get my sticker though! Put me down for 1!!!

What kind of downsize is it? I am hoping 5X8 at the most. Can I have an invisible one?:D

99WhiteBeast

The stickers are ready. It has been reduced from 19x10 to 10x4 so it will fit the center glass.:tu:

Since the stickers are ready and the guy that is going to put them on is in Arlington I say we head over there. I am not too fimiliar with the area so what is good to eat out there that will suit our needs?

Thats true, where is it going to be???

George G.
07-29-2002, 01:08 PM
We can go back to Hooters, off I20. The parking wasn't that great last time. There's also a Hooters on Cooper somewhere. I can drive by and checkout the parking lot there.

98Cobra
07-29-2002, 03:06 PM
Well, lets be honest. The parking actually sucked. To say the parking wasn't very good is like saying that Bone Daddy's women are "ok looking, I guess".

Anyway, why not somewhere else? Like Irving? Its pretty centrally located! We could do the Hooters there again. Its been almost a year.

Yeah, that's another way to put it. Irving works for me too, I'm just not sure if the sticker dude wants to go to Irving. You talking about the Hooters on Beltline and 183, just across the mall?

99WhiteBeast
07-29-2002, 03:53 PM
I'll call the guy (sticker dude) who designed them. I think he would drive to Irving to apply for everybody but N. Dallas is a little much.

L8 APEX
07-29-2002, 04:24 PM
It looks like the whole meeting depends on sticker dude. So Steve get with SD and see where he will accept free food and beer from and we will do that. Last year Hooters Irving service SUCKED! It looks like Hooters I20 and Little Rd. may work. We just have to park on the other side where it is open:tu: So to appease SD and the sticker feinds I say Hooters south Arlington:D

Well, I may have to bail on Thursday. My folks might be coming in early and they probably won't be interested in another long drive across town. I can't exactly leave them at the house with the wife either. Hopefully I'll be able to make it, but it's looking slim at this time.

Sticker dude will come out to Hooter's in Arlington or Irving.
We need to make a decision here.

Then it's settled. I20 and Little Road...also known as BFE:D

I scouted Hooter's out tonight:d
We can easily get 30 to 40 L'S just behind Colter's BBQ which is on the other side of the TAI PAN restuarant next to Hooter's.

That way all of us are together and we'll have exposure to Little Road;)

It's about a 50 yard walk to Hooter's:tongue:
