90-95mm MAF mod

To put this on my 99' Lightning will i need to have another chip or have my current chip reburned?
Can I just buy one & slap'r on???
Im sure you guys have answered this one before but I cant find it..

I'm not 100% sure, but I would think that you would be better off with a new tune. Because the MAF is a different size it will probably read the air differently. Of course I might be wrong too. My L came with the 90mm.

Thanks for the help... I think im gonna buy it & see how it works with my stock chip... I was under the impression that the MAF would sense the more air flow?!?! Anyone here ever had experience with a maf upgrade...

Well I upgraded the MAF on my mustang when I supercharged it. The larger MAF allowed more air to pass through. If you are not outflowing your stock MAF you would probably not see too much gain.
