Posting for a friend. She is looking for a reliable, cheap used car for her daughter to use for school and other things necessary in her daily life. She's looking to spend about $4K. Anybody have anything?

Let me know.

Got a friend with a black 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. High mileage (100K), but I think he would let it go well below $4,000. I can put you in contact with him if you'de like.

Dennis, Slammy, e-mail me contact info on the two vehicles mentioned. She has some interest in those. Terry, thanks for the post, but she really doesn't want to get something that she's going to have to throw a bunch of work at right off.

Thanks,
Tom

Anything that cheap requires some work. Like I posted it is just oil leaks which you will find anywhere for 2K.

Not all 2k cars leak oil mileage has nothing to do with it as I see 40k cars with 50 thou miles leaking too all the time at work FYI
