My 2000 needs a new boot. The rubber piece that goes from the Throttle body to the Mass air ... The vacuum lines underneath are not staying in well enough to meet Performance Reasearch Standards... Anyone that has blinged up thier boot want to part with the stocker ?

Wrap a piece of electrical tape around the lines were they go into the boot. One of mine sliped out once, after my ghetto work, i havent had a problem.

LOL. I do work for a chevy dealership after all and work on motorhomes that are put together halfa$$ from there build date.. :tu: . No i came up with the name because Soon as i got the L work went dead (flag rate/commision) for a few months and i got in a accident so i was pretty much broke.

Its my luck that any new car/truck i get something happens to it. Out of my last 3 cars, one got t-boned (not my fault) other a garbage truck pulled across 3 lanes of rush hour and i was the lucky one to hit him, and my last car before the L got keyed. This all happens within the first 3 months :vomit:

Yours is older and in worse shape than mine...

Specifically referring to your boot

Specifically referring to your bootMine is older, but it is really in good shape. Something to be said for not playing with it all the time. I think mine will meet Performance Reasearch standards.

Still referring to the boot of course.

Bring it to the picture shoot and I will inspect it for flexibility and hose retention. Refferring to the boot of course

I can't promise but I'll try. I am burried up this week with head and cam work on LT1 and LS1's. Finished up a black Z06 tonight about 10PM. Packed week dude.

Doug, for a very small fee ($100.00) you can get my stock 90mm meter AND the boot that you so desire. I know that would force you into a chip reburn, just thought you might be interested.

I have 3 of the 4 colors BUT The color you really want WHITE is screwed up

Steve is supposed to be getting new ones done. The white outline I have is too thin and it distorts real bad on application

Thanks for the offer - But I have declined a 90mm upgrade a number of times and will continue to do so - I would need a reburn and a new filter kit and its just not worth it

Your filter kit should bolt up to the 90mm. I have an airraid system for a 90mm and it bolted right up with no problem and i have the 80mm
