I just picked this up at the store, and the truck is BAD-A** looking. If it goes into production it will definitely be interesting.

The article states that less than 2k should be made the first year, and you can pick one up for approx 50k+ add'l dealer markup. THe motor...506ci of Viper muscle, 500hp/500lbs trq. 0-60 in under 5 sec, 0-80 in 9 sec, sub-13 sec qtr mile times (as they have tested already).

Bucket seats, silver-face gauges, leather seats, 24in (thats right, 24 inches) wheels and 305/35 tires, 6-spd manual, and a 26 gal fuel tank round it out...

Guys, if someone could (a) pay 55-60k, (b) get this thing to hook, (c) and it was put into production by MOPAR, I might be worried if my truck was stock. In its defense, it is a REALLY good lookin' truck, and IMHO rivals the looks of the L. I would consider letting my wife have one IF THEY CAME DOWN 20k.[U]

Have a great weekend!

Y'know, if we were still in the great economy we had a few years ago, they would sell those things. But at 50k + dealer markup which will be high + TT&L, I am not too worried. Also, with a 6spd, how many people will you come across that have one, AND know how to drive it? :D

...and even then, it still doesn't change the fact that it's still just a Dodge.

One of my wifes clients owns a 2001 viper. The man told me that when that truck comes out, he is getting one, and he is getting it custom painted to match his car. He is planning on using it as his company truck to get a write off or some crud. This dude also has a 10 ft. x 16 ft. theatre screen in one of the rooms in his house. Who can explain the crap people with money buy? I am impressed with that truck, and I work in Plano, so I am afraid to say that I plan on getting my butt whooped several times in the near future by kids. Plano is the best place to see overpriced rides driven by 16 year olds...:(
