I have a caption for that photo: How many HALO members does it take to isntall a valve body:d:D:d I think that carpet will catch some fluid..

Natan was just in from SA, so the pan was still nice and hot. However you would be suprised how "little" fluid we spilled during the entire install :)

I punch the stock pans and replace them w/ 4wd units. That saves some mess. The round and rectangular pans just don't cover the entire pan area. The big splashes come from pulling the filter down and dropping the valve body. I hate the way the fluid wants to run down your arms when pulling valve body bolts and part. Of course you used an inch lb torque wrench to install the FT valve body;)

I remember dropping the converter in the oil changing out my 1968 Firebird Turbo-Hydramatic 300. :eek: What an experience :D One that I should share with the masses. :p

That car rocked 0-70 in first gear, then boom, shift.. 70-90 in .1 second (slingshot effect) and off you go.... (2.36 rear end gears from the factory..lol)

These damned car companies are too cheap to supply drain plugs as they should...now grease zerks...thats another story :bs

we drill the old pans, replace with the 4x4 pan, and yes we used the inch torque wrench. Lowering the valvebody on one side and letting it drain saved much fluid from getting all over. Even with the tool searching, and chatting with others, we did Nathans valvebody in 43 minutes :)
