yeah terry, I put my m10's back in the other day and now the stupid beeper wont turn off. Do you know what the deal is? I have to turn them off cause they annoy the dookie out of me.

I would have to do the remote to see what labor is involved. A regular hard wire on a new V1 is $25 bucks. Labor on Blinders is $75. As for constant alarm, I have seen them do it when wet or by a red neon sign or LED brake lights but no other times.

I am ready to go on the two.. lets get some ideas on the remote location for the V1 and if we cant figure out a good spot then I will just go with the normal setup with a hard wire..
How long does the whole thing take, laser and radar, purchase and install? (i.e. how much lead time do you need?)

They redesigned the Blinders and are not for sale yet. I call weekely to get any news I can. Install is probably 3 hours for basic Blinder and V1.

let me know... I will probably go ahead with the V1 pretty soon... like this week if I can get a commitment from an outside source..
thanks

have you put any thought into a new stealth install for the V1? even using the concealed display and where it and the unit would be located? or do we just go with the suction cups or visor clip and a hard wire on the power?
Dana

If we can, lets try to do something new and cool and then we'll post pics..

I don't like new and cool. Sometimes short and sweet is much better:D If you have tinted windows I tuck it up above the mirror so it can't be easily seen.

I run an old two head system.

Is that what you would recommend? is it adequate or do you suggest more heads? if we add more, what do you get out of it?

Two heads are for the front it is expandable to the rear also. In my many miles over 100+ all lidar hits have been front and have jammed perfectly.

We can tack weld your washer or replace it with Herbs washers but those are expensive $50 bucks last time I bought them.

Did see this post.. any chance this is the problem?

When I first got my 99 aligned about 3 years ago it had a little clunk, which was a little louder when in reverse. When It was being aligned I had the shop check the A-arm bolts and they were pretty loose. They tightned them and when backing out of the shop the clunk got everyones attention. The shop owner said that he has had many ford trucks with no grease in the ball joints. He squirted some grease into the rubber cups around the ball joints with a needle. That was 3 years ago and I have not heard a sound out of them since. I am not taking credit for the idea, just passing on what worked for me. Skip

Not sure Most clunks are from tight turning or braking while turning.

its funny, ever since I flew out of control and went over a few curbs bending all four of my rims I havent heard "the clunk" anymore. Not the best solution, but it did work!
