rpmoutlet.com sells them for $165 and my mouse is tempted to click "add to cart" so, whats everyones opinion. Will the 8lb wear the crap out of the blower?
FYI they also have sizes 2lb-6lb for $160 each. fair deal.

Go for the whole enchillada....get a 10 pound lower and a 2 pound upper with a 100 shot to boot...
Should put you solidly in the.....10's...........................10's of thousands of $$$ that is, to replace all the shitz you wasted internally and the new sheet metal where the parts blow through em.:vomit:

The blower is not what I would be worried about. AFter putting that thing on, you might as well start saving for a built bottom end, because chances are a few rods will give.

O, no I was going to put it on after I do the motor anyways. Oops, forgot to specifiy. The motor will be completely built. I am worried about wear on the blower. Kenne Bell's are a little to pricey for me right now. anyone here ever run one that big before?

I have recently put a kenne bell on my 2000 lightning. I cranked up the boost to 22lbs. and blew the engine. So then I went and bought a built block from Johnny Lightning Performance, I also had him do a head job. So I talked with him and a few years ago JLP was runnning 18lbs on a stock supercharger. He told me that the supercharges were bullet proof, even though you are overspinning the crap out of it. He ran his truck like that for 2 years and looked in the blower and there was not a thing wrong with it. As long as you have a built engine you should be fine. But if you are spraying I would not go over 18lbs. If you have ported heads and exhaust it will make you run a little less boost because of the extra flow. But with the pulley set up you listed you should be fine. Good luck.
