I'm needing new tires before too much longer. Within probably about 5k miles. I thought about going ahead and purchasing some new wheels as an upgrade while I am at it. Played around on Summit for a while searching the wheels in the proper size, and I'm kinda digging these.

They come in 17", 18", and 20". I have always kinda wanted a larger wheel on the truck, so I have been toying with the idea of the 18 or 20.

I really like the look of this truck, not necessarily the wheels, but the size and how they fit. I always though 20s would look too big, but IMO they just flat out work here.

To imagine 18's just find a pic of Gen2 wheels on a Gen1.

What size? I'm kinda leaning toward the 20s.

20's are sharp, it's what I have on my gen 2, kinda added a little weight. But worth it!!

I am not a huge fan of the 20's but I like the 18's.. its all personal preference.. also, if you go 20's, are you going with a bigger brake kit as well to help fill in the area behind the wheel?

IMHO, the Gen 1's look best with 18's. I have seen a couple with 20's that look good, so a lot depends on the rim; but usually the 20's make a Gen1 look a little ghetto to me. Now 18's on the other hand... I think that our trucks were born to have 18's on them.
Just my .02 for what it's worth.

Interesting tidbit on the tires. I was pricing them out for each size. The cheapest 18" tire is a touring tire, and is $50/ea more than a 20" "performance" tire.

If you're thinking about getting rid of your 17's let me know.
