It should fit the box but the 99 boot it will not. You will need a 01-04 boot. I also have one, I will throw it in free.:tu:

seems like when I fitted mine to my 2000 box, I had to trim the hole on the box to make it bigger

You may be right. It's been a long time since I had a box in the L.
