View Full Version : PICTURES POSTED - Hay Hauler Shootouts at Denton Dragway---Feb 1st

Denton Dragway

That's a Saturday Night, so get those P/Ups ready to go.

We will run two classes, both of which need at least 8 trucks entered into them in order to run the class.

STREET TRUCK SHOOTOUT

*Must be tagged, inspected, insured (current)
*No tubbed trucks allowed
*Street tires only (no ET drags, slicks, ET streets, or Nittos)
*Must be driven into track
*Must have full interior (seats, dash, etc.)
*ONE stage of nitrous allowed
*No after-market turbos or superchargers
*Must have all exhaust installed meeting TxDOT regulatuions

PRO STREET TRUCK SHOOTOUT

*Must be tagged, inspected, and insured (current)
*Slick are permitted
*Must be driven into track
*No open headers

Both classes will be run heads-up on a full tree, and will begin promptly at 9:00pm. Gates open at 6, so get there early and practice. Admission will be $10 and a tech card will be $5. Awards will be given to the Winner and R/Up in each class.

Love to see you guys there.

BTW, spread the word to your buddies, and on other boards about the race. Remember, in order to run both classes, there will need to be a minimum of 16 trucks on the property and ready to play.

Sounds good to me. Lets :burnout:

I do have one question. If the rules are not set in stone. Could we do something about rule #7. "*No after-market turbos or superchargers"? This may remove a few trucks from the Street Truck class. Plus, it wouldn't matter if they had twin turbos, the biggest blower you could buy and a 6 stage NOS set-up. If they can't get it off the line on street tires, YOU LOSE:D
But it is just a question, either way I'm in it 2 win it.

"Hay Hauler Shootout" You gotta love it.:D

they said aftermarket not factory . so if you do have nitrous you can run in both events and just not use the nitrous in the first one .

One power adder, two power adders it's ALL GRAVY. ;)

Sixxer,
What kind of ET's do you run in the 1/8 mile on street tires?
Are you saying that you would like a piece of the Gen2kilr w/ one power adder and on street tires? If so lets LINE EM UP!!:eek2:

I think that would be a nice , tight race. If you drive better than your son.:D

I am just disappointed that I can only use one power adder, no chip, no 90mm MAF, No throttle body, No CAI, what a bummer:hammer:

Hey guys, if you would rather open it up to aftermarket super/turbochargers, I really don't care. You guys can help me make the rules.

I don't see where tit says only one power adder though? Am I missing something? :D

I would like to open it up to the aftermarket s/c & turbo guys. That way we would have more trucks in the street class. Also have you talked with any other truck clubs about this event? If so what kind of feed back are you getting.

As for the one power adder comment, that is just an inside (Talon) thing.

I think we should get some kind of count started, so we will know how many trucks from Talon are going and in which class are you going to run in.

Now, I know we have more trucks than this. Wheres all the NOS powered Gen 2's.

At our last event I remember alot of smack talking. This event would be a good time to back some of that lip up.:D Please don't make me call any names.:eek2:

It would be great to have aleast 10-12 trucks show.

February 1st at 9PM. Show up early for test & tune. This is a low-maintenance race; no tire changes necessary, just show up and run. It will be worth 15 bucks just to get a shot at Terry on street tires.
:nana2
I'm counting 6-8 from our club so far. We should be able to do better than that............................

Justin,

They will be allowing aftermarket S/C and turbo trucks in the street class. Hope you can make it. It would be nice to see some more Gen 1s in the line up. Even nicer would be, to see all Gen 1s in the winners circle.:D

Whats up with Michael? Tell him I would love to see his monster go down the track on that BIG shot w/ street tires.:eek2:

It's starting to look like the Gen 1s will be running things this weekend.:D

But then again, we my have some good drivers show their face and be ready to race.( I was a rapper before I became a racer) .:D

That's whats good about this event, everybody has a chance.

I still haven't heard from any of the NOS Gen 2 guys. What's the deal!! Terry have you talked to any of your NOS custmers? Let them know that we'll take it easy on them if they come.:eek2:

Until we get in the staging lanes and then :hammer: .

T Hogg - No, I will be the only L. I will be in the area visiting friends and will make the long haul to Denton or Kennedale if it works out with my host's plans. While Denton is a much longer drive, it would be more fun to hang with TALON. I will post later if i can make it.

I'm assuming the events will be run similar to how we did Hallsville. I thought I heard that the actual racing starts at 9. I agree: we need to know what time everything is supposed to take off. If it does start at 9 and we have a bunch of trucks we will be there all freakin' night!
