Sounds like fun! I am in. I won't be able to take Friday off though. I will probably have to leave after work.

I'm going. I will probably head out Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. I am crossing my fingers hoping I won't run into any problems with my truck. She is scheduled to be running the middle of April, but you never know.:(

Well I have to catch Jim to tune my truck when he is not tuning 50 other Lightnings at the same time.:D
There are a few people I would like to meet also like the HALO members and Shannan, the man responsible for my head, cams, and intake. He is from Baytown. I know how time is against you when you want to do a lot of things in a short period of time and I don't think going down there Friday will give me enough time to do everything that I need to do. I also want to scope out some equipment that is for sale and I definetely need to meet some ladies down there.;) that I have been talking to. Heck, come to think of it I don't think leaving Tuesday will give me enough time anyways, but I can get a lot of things accomplished that I need to do.

Hmm, is that the closest the circuit comes to DFW other than Ennis? I wonder is Houston is a bigger madhouse than Ennis was?

Looks like Jim from JDM ( Sponsor of the Top Truck Class ) will be stopping in Dallas on his way to Houston for FFW.

We are working out the details of where and when but if you are interested in getting your truck tuned before FFW or if you cannot make it you can getyour chips tuned or pick up various Mods ( Or you can have them installed) The best thing to do if you are interested is call JDM and make sure they will be bringing the parts you need or may need.

More details to follow

Not sure about my schedule yet, may just drive down and back on Sat. Doubt that the SO will let me take off for the weekend, especially now that she has met some of you. :)

My friend Mike, who is considering getting an '03 Cobra, or maybe a Blue '02 Lightning, and my roommate Doug who was born with Chevy blood but I am steadily converting him to the True Path.

Mike will probably be wanting to trade his jeep after a trip to Houston, with any luck. He needs to trade for the Lightning so he can pull his boat though :)

Mark,

When I come over on Wednesday, I will be my normal mature self. :p The Houston FFW should be a big event. There were 30 trucks entered in Top/Truck Atlanta and it wouldn't surprise me if there were 50 at Houston.

Should have my L8 goodies and Metco bars on by then which will put Go_rila firmly in the upper half of the GenII pack. :tu:

I hope everyone is planning on running the Top Truck class... Thanks in part to the Sponsor of the Top Truck class - I have a press pass for this event and will be taking pictures right next to the track... This is an excellent opportunity to do a BIG smokey burnout and get it on digital film...

I guarantee I will get a decent picture of everyone on the Top Truck Class. Any other pictures I can get while avoiding heatstroke will be a bonus

PS - Ignoring Sixpipes cheap shot... There will be NO pictures taken of tired black 99 lightnings with 2 new coil packs.......

The Atlanta FFW pictures were outstanding! I am going to buy that Orlando-Atlanta CD. It is worth it just for the lemonade pictures alone! You guys have a great time down in Houston and look for my new friend Jim Alexander. He ran his first 1/4 in Atlanta and is driving all the way from Georgia in his White Lightning. Silver_2000

Walmart and Compusa both sell them.. Get anyone that does all the channels and codes... You can get a decent one for 30-50 bucks... Mine is motorola

We typically use channel 5 code 4 - 5.4 get it ??

Doug

Crawford
05-02-2002, 04:55 PM
What it means when it says you have to have an FCC license to operate the unit is that when you purchase the unit enclosed you will find a form you have to fill out and send to the FCC. You take that form, wad it up and place it in the nearest waste basket. Insert batteries and enjoy...
