When I picked my bumper up from the dealer I asked about new trucks. They said Ford shut the plants down until inventory drops. It was kind of shocking not to see any F250s on the lot besides a few fleet trucks. I guess if they crimp the supply then price may go up? The govt really killed the new diesels with their strict emissions. The result was an unreliable, complex, expensive, poor fuel economy truck nobody wants. Most truck owners I talk to want to be able to buy a new 7.3L or 5.9 12v that will go 300K miles, is easy to work on and gets 18-22mpg.:tu:

I know the 09 F150 was delayed 3-4 months to let supplies dwindle...as many 08s as they are still sitting on, I wonder if there will even BE an 09!

I heard dodge was the only new truck. The rest are sitting on them.

Emissions and diesel should NOT EVER go together!!

I'm still not sure why one of the 3 Big American Co.s haven't made a full size truck w/ a small diesel engine... I think it would sell pretty well.

$4 gal diesel snuffed that. They can't sell ANY trucks right now anyway... Now is like a perfect storm from cost of fuel, economic collapse etc.. Diesel was only a sales point when it was cheaper than gas and more efficient. Now it is neither...

Diesel is 3.90 - 3.80 in Irving, seems like it is starting to come down slowly

Funny oil is dipping under 100 bucks here and there and gas is still over 3... diesel should be a dollar under gas all the time not over. Even 2.50 diesel is too high. It was 4.59 on Coit this morning and 4.29 in Lewisville yesterday.

BC: I got the QA's back, I'll drop them off next Wed/Thurs.

Diesel prices are retarded... I actually shop around for diesel when the gauge gets low. Got it today for 3.93 in Bedford, then I went to see a buddy of mine in Haslet and saw it for 3.85  .

I got $156 worth at the J 3.81. It is 4.59 at the Texaco Coit and 635.
I did 15.7mpg with the 20"s which is the best ever for the 20"s highway included. I do a ton of city driving all week to work and back down Frankford, Preston, Belt Line etc.. I slowed down 10mph to about 60mph. The last tank rolling about 70 I got 13.5mpg. I feel rich at 15.7, that is all a gas half ton would do and it couldn't do anything I needed...:tu:

:DWe're lucky up here by Sherman. Diesel is only like 3.74 or so and gas is 3.25 for regular.

Yeah I noticed that the dodge made a huge differ going from 80s to lower 70s. Its just so damn slow tho... but guess I need to try the 60s :(.
