Mack, <-- All 3 different brands, Husky, and a few others. <---- All made in the same plant owned by Stanly. Although I think they moved Husky to Taiwan.

They are all about the same, they all do the same job. (hold tools)

This is the one I'm looking at getting for work next.

Check these out.

And if you sign up for their newsletter you can get 15% off coupons from time to time. This is the cheapest I have seen a toolbox this size. I did some comparing of it and some sears toolboxes that were comparatively priced, the one from Harbor freight looked like it was built much better.

I saw this box at Costco's and I think it is very poor quality. I wanted it until I closely examined it.

by the way Costco's has the top and bottom for $900

this is what I was thinking about but I am not sure.

I have nothing better than what I can get though. right now I have a nearly %50 discount but the box I want is still going to run me about $2400 if I get the snap on

thats not a bad deal on a box.. it should last you a good long time or the rest of your life..

I bought my Homac commercials from Costco, Sam's has some also. Sometimes they carry the good boxes. They were $650 for the upper and lower 42" wide set. Ball bearings and a nice coating. I never believed in being broke on a tool box... I think the Depot had a decent stainless box set of 1100-1200, same with Northern Tool. A lot of redneck mechanics have several grand floating on the tool truck credit account. From time to time Sears will have a big sale. You may call my old SnapOn man Scott Loper. He should be in the book or on the web. He is also a Lightning owner here somewhere... He is a area manager/dealer for SnapOn and has half a warehouse full of used and repossessed tool boxes from all makers. He can deal on them since some poor guy paid for most of it.

Lowes carries Kobalt stuff which is a division of Snap On. I have some Kobalt stuff and I've been pleased with the quality.

Saw this post too... maybe a trip to Costco might be warranted..

Local Costco has a 56" black "wrinkle" finish upper and lower Torin for $999. Seems like a real good price. I believe it is the same Torin Northern Tool has in their catalog for $1099???...for the BOTTOM unit only...I think it is $1600 for both top and bottom.

Anyone else looked at this Torin at Costco?

when i wrenched at the chevy dealership the snap on and matco guys hated me cause I had a craftsman box and tools... Always hounded me about trading it in. It did the job then and still holding up in the garage at the house now.
