Anyone know the part number we need for these as replacement plugs? Also, does anyone know who carries them locally?

They are the Denso IT20's I should be getting an assortment of 20,22,24's in some time next week.

KJ94GT,

There are several different Denso iridium plugs. IT-16's, IT-20's and IT-24's. It depends on the application that you need. If you are stock, you should probably go with the IT-16's. If you have pulleys up to 4#, IT-20's, anything over 4# pulleys with chip, etc., most tuners will tell you to go up to the IT-24's. Just my observations with what I have seen on the boards and such. I am running the IT-20's with 4#'s worth of pulleys. They made a HUGE difference in the performance and idling of the L. It idles soooo much smoother now. As far as local dealers, I ask a couple of places if they had denso iridium's and got the traditional blank stare and what are denso iridium's reply. I went with performance products online and got them for $12 each delivered to my door. There may be a couple of other places to get them online for maybe a few cents cheaper, but I like this dealer. Just my .02. Hope it helps.

KJ94GT,

Just went to f150online and saw this post. Don't know if you can wait, but this is the best price I have seen so far for Denso's.

Note to self - exercise extreme caution when purchasing items promoted by Canadians that can't spell Lightning correctly. :p

I didn't realize they were so expensive. Do you guys really think a set of plugs is worth $50-$75?

I don't doubt that's cheap for Densos, but what's the benefit? How can they be that much better than stock replacements? Plugs are plugs, most of the time. I hope this isn't one of those scams like those Bosch +4s :D

Denso's are the best I have run. Doug can post the link he found if he wants. I have the image on my hard drive some where. Anyway a SAE lab test ran several makes at various RPM's for misfires in a 5 minute sample. Stock plugs had about 200 misfires at 6000 RPM, NGK's and Bosch+4's had around 50. The Denso's has only 2 at most. So I would say this is another example of getting what you pay for:tu:
