My personal best was run at Hallsville Raceway on October 28, 2001 at 4:14 PM.

My '00 L. had 38,000 miles on it at the time, and my only performance mods are a PSP air filter kit and a JDM single program chip with the Tom 5 program. All my runs are made on street tires (Toyo Proxes S/T in stock size) with the truck at full weight running pump gas.

Best pass:

R/T .723 (I'm a snoozer)
60' 1.921
330' 5.411
1/8 8.273
MPH 86.37
1/4 12.843
MPH 106.51 :burnout:

Something like:

12.737@ 110.020

at Hallsville March of 2001. This was done after the previous day's dyno of 382 rwhp at Fastech.

Last dyno (November 2001 at Fastech was 405.8 rwhp). Haven't been to the track since so I don't have a clue what I will run next time out.

Problem is, you haven't been to Hallsville in good weather. Sub-13 second ETs are not all that common in our group, especially at Ennis, so you shouldn't worry about it. :burnout:

Bleebo,
What you really need to ensure a sub 13 second run is a way cool Slim Top tonneau cover painted to match your truck. Don't tell anyone, but I might be able to help you locate one. ;)

If I remember correctly you didn't have the magical top on last time out eh? Up late are we? Cool.

last month at Kennedale, cool weather...

1/8- 10.25

But in my defense, that was on 2 passes and about a years since I last raced at the track...a little rusty. Check out my list of mods!!!

Since my stock 93L sucks when it comes to timeslips, I'll list my best time in my previous truck.

'78 F-150
460c.i.
C6 trans
9" diff w/ 4.11's...or 4.10's(I forgot what fits the 9")
And a whole list of stuff.

1/8- 9.09 on street tires and a lot of wheel hop.

I went to Ennis for the 1st time on 3/22/2002. I made two passes 1st one was a 13.8 quarter mile. Second time around 13.6 a little bit better. I have no mods and I had my hard top on with stuff in the bed maybe an extra 50 pounds. Who knows what the average stock 2001 runs in the quarter? I know what it says on the SVT website but I want to hear from some real people. Terry Cole I may be ready to start talking to you about a cold air induction kit. Give me an email if you see this post.

Thanks Doug!!!

I just wondered, I had a guy approach me and he wanted to race and he asked me my time and I told him that I ran a 13.8. He kinda looked at me and he said that he thought Lightnings ran a 13.4 bone stock. I didn't know so I just shaked my head and said mine must be slower. Then he bragged about his BMW M3 that ran a 13.4 and he still wanted to race so I beat him after his bragging. I had a 13.6 to his 14. Then he just started saying how that was his slowest time of the night. He got me to wondering though.
It was pretty nice at Ennis I didn't slip much at all. My F-1's stuck pretty quick.

Thanks for the encouragement.

What was your 60 foot time ?

I ran 13.9 stock with my 2000. Mid 13's is good.
If you can get track prep and launch technique to allow a 1.9x 60 foot you should be able to see just what the max your truck will do. THe other thing is the weather. 10 degrees and humidity and barometric pressure will make a BIG difference on these engines.

13.8 is not bad for a stock L. Back in May of '00 I went to Hallsville and ran a 14.4 with just a conical filter and I hooked up pretty decent.(2.1) I have always thought there was something wrong with my truck since day 1. I just couldn't prove it. My best et was a 12.64 and that was with a chip, 3#pulley, 90mm, slicks, ram air, line mod, weight reduction, 2,600 stall, etc and had a 1.77 60ft. There are people with those same mods that run 12.2's and better. Heck there are guys that run my times with just a chip, pulley, filter, and slicks.

Best so far has been 13.8 @101.16 on Dec 15, 2001 at Ennis, bone stock, no slicks; 2.2 60'. I believe track temp was in the 40s with upwards of 100% humidity (this run was the last run before the rain came down). If I could have got better traction off of the line I could have broke a 13.6, at least. In the last week I've got a little sumpin'-sumpin' to boot, but have yet to get to the track. I'm hoping to get out there soon before it gets too hot. I don't want to run in 100 degree track temps like my first runs last year. 14.5 sec 1/4 was a little :( . If I can get a 12 I'll be :d . Probably not until the fall...

My best stock time was a 13.586 @ 101.66 in March of 2001 at Hallsville. I had a 2.048 60' time. Truck was completely stock, full trim, running F1's. Only had about 1100 miles on her.

My best run was a 13.056 @104.95 last October at Ennis. My 60' time was 1.967. Full trim, F1's, chip, filter @ 2# pulley.

My best 60' time thus far has been a 1.909. I thought I'd consistently been in the 1.8's, but I was wrong :o Still, I am happy with 1.9's on F1's.

I think, in the right weather, I'm in the 12's easy.

I think you just a spare driver. The other option is to paint you truck blue.

I ran a 12.20 @ 111mph in 96 degrees. It is cooling down so I will be expecting a lot better than that in the next couple of weeks.
