I'm wanting to go with a hyd roller in my 94 gen 1, what is a good cam that I can still keep daily drivability? I have a mustang H.O. cam (thanks Rudy) I have even looked at a e303. This thing is totally stock, is the block already tapped for the set up or will I need to do it.
Thanks

Apparently from what I've read on the NLOC with all those guys over there trying different cams, the best results have came with the HO cam and 1.7 rockers. The only reason why I went a different route, is because I got a good deal on a custom billet cam and all roller conversion parts. Since you have a 94, the block is roller ready....next step is start gathering parts.

Pushrods, valve springs(I will be replacing mine because I'm near 200k).........hmmm...can't think of anything else unless you want to go the "while I'm in there route"....:tu:

Since you have a 94, the block is roller ready....next step is start gathering parts. I had the F303 cam and 1.6 rockers in my 93 Mustang LX coupe on a 347 stroker, also Vortech S-Trim SC and that thing was mean! Not very streetable though. A buddy of mine uses the E303 on the same setup minus the SC and it is a very streetable cam.

Yea, I'm not sure what works or not just going by what the guys who know by experience comment.....heck, that's why I'm going with a custom cam just to see what results I get...

I have a Cam Motion custom hydraulic roller cam and Steeda 1.72 Roller Rockers in my 93.

The cam is fairly mild with a gentle lope. I need to dig up the specs

Do you still have the speed density or did you go with a MAF?

Cam specs are 212* Intake/216* Exhaust duration at .050...
Lift is .530 Intake/.530 Exhaust w/ the 1.72 rockers currently on the truck.

Lift with a 1.6 rocker would be right at .500(Lift at the lobe is .310)
Cam gound on a 114* Lobe Separation Angle(LSA).

They did. Not too many local folks now how to tune these trucks unless you go MAF conversion.

I hoping Mr Glenn has mastered the Tweecer by now:twitch:- he has a herd to support up north:bows

Crane has a Powermax hyd roller.....208 intake / 216 exhaust dur at 0.50
Lift is 530 intake / 530 exhaust
It would probably be higher if I used 1.7 rockers.
I might use this one dur. under 220

Tomorrow I'm taking it for a dyno pull for a stock baseline..only upgrade is K&N filter......Thanks....:tu:
