I really appreciate everybody that helped out on my previous thread...

I bought this engine from a guy up in NJ.. he apprently used a chain across the top of the GT40 Plenum to get the engine out. The thing was beat up pretty good, so I cleaned it up with a file, a little epoxy, a DA sander, and a little elbow grease... sent it out for some powder and here's how it turned out.:)

Now, I realize how nasty the rest of the engine compartment is:vomit:

maybe a little more elbow grease is in order tomorrow.

Thanks,

Ya know, since I drove this car on HRM Power Tour a few years ago (when it ended up at the BPA), we all got caught in a monsoon for about 60 miles or so... I picked up so much road grime & dirt, and I've just never really got cleaned up good since then...

I'm doing everything in my power to keep from drivin' my new car in the rain.. ever... had it for over a year now, and only got caught in a little drizzle one time when leaving TMS... so far, so good:d

Yea, it's kinda ' crazy how little room is in the engine bay in a '69 Mustang... and to think, they also put FE series engines in there too.

The Lightning 5.8 with all the accessories, MAF/EFI, remote filters, rack & pinion,
headers, wiring harnesses, A/C, fuel lines to and from, etc... it's deffinately a tight fit, not much room left over.

This car has been a multi-year project for me... started back in 1992, been on the road with it since '94, and suspect I will continue to tinker and fine tune it throughout my lifetime.
