Lightning doesnt have wired mirror

It should work in the compass connector as well. I wired mine manually to the compass connector by stripping the wires. A little high priced though.

Do you have more details on this? We tried last weekend, but couldn't find a powerful enough feed.

I used this:

and tested the wires to find the ground and 12v switched wire. I can't remember if my wires matched the ones in the pictures. My hardware kit included an inline fuse as well. My bel rx65 works great!
Determine the wires for your power
supply. If you can't see they're white
w/ blue (+) and black w/ green (-).

I tied several L's to the overhead power. I think it was terms 1 and 2 off the stock connector.

Yah, I used that link as well for instructions on which lines are which. I also used the connection kit that came with my V1, and a couple vampire taps from Home Depot to wire in the RJ11 connector they supply. For the line to the V1, I got one of those short (12") RJ11-RJ11 cords, for use with wall-mounted telephones, in grey so it's difficult to see from the outside.

Good thread, man. :tu:

Ordered one of these for the wife's c6. I hate splicing into those wires!

If you look in the owners manual they should have accy wires under the passenger dash like the C5's. A ground, one switched and one constant. We just run the V1 cord down the pillar and used the factory accy wires under the passenger dash.

Who reads the owners manual? I'm just trying to be cool like John! :D

Hard wiring a v1 is about a 15 min job including the trip to the fridge for the beer

Took me longer than 15min hard wiring my rx65 to my overhead console! I kept dropping that one darn screw that secures the console! :hammer:

Well the $16 bel/escort invisicord came in today. I took longer to unwrap the package than it did to install in the c6! Total installation time approximately 2 minutes! :tu:
