I am way behind at work and am going to try and make it to work. I'll take pictures of the carnage:tex

It's not to bad... Rockwall to Dallas wasn't anyways. A lil slippery around corners, highway/bridges were fine.

Did engage the 4WD at one point, for no reason though. This was in the Harley F250 you saw.
We did see a 99-04 Mustang V6 down in a ditch, can't tell what happened.

Used 4WD about 1/2 the time coming in. It's all snow, so not too bad. I believe this is the first time I've used 4WD on pavement since I've had the SD. :tu:

I ran 2wd all the way in but it is not so good and getting worse out there. All the way from SW Mansfield there was a solid half inch of ice mix on the road. It started as freezing rain and sleet then switched to snow. On the way in it switched back to sleet mostly with a little snow. The traffic has mushed the snow and sleet into a polished sheet of ice on the highways and traveled roads. I expect the drive home to be worse. Where the traffic is low the crunchy stuff is great to drive on. Unfortunately the traffic is making into sheet ice. The 18 wheelers either need to park or run chains. I was bombarded by semis that could barely move and they were hogging up i20 like they owned it. Also the left lane should be reserved for 4wd's and people who know how to drive.
Here is a pic from I20.

The new tires are doing great they are probably the reason I didn't need 4wd.

I shot a little video of throwing some snow, the wind blocked the audio out but it was still fun. These tires will roost slush pretty well .

I may have to roll out the Rinny and have a little fun. You bring your Prairie Moonshine? We could roll through D'ville like Northern Exposure:D

Things up north (denton) are looking ok the snow is still falling and the road conditions are getting worse I travelled the 10 miles from Crossroads to Denton on 380 this morning in 4wd but could have used 2wd

Like always people are either doing 8 or 800 I'm sure the road will be littered with carnage again

I think the reason for the last carnage was the fact the roads were good and only the bridges and patches of ice were to be found. When the whole place is a sheet of frozen mess folks tend to recognize none of it is safe. I didn't see a person doing over 35 this morning on my 24 mile commute through 4 different towns. There was one guy that looped his Benz on I20 I left him for the cops to deal with. If you wipe out going in a straight line I can't/shouldn't help you out.. The city trucks are running their chains today busting up my wintery goodness! I think I'll take the Rinny down to the park and run down little animals:D .

I had to drive the L from hwy 10 and 183 to 121 and Glade to work at 7 this morn. I left the house at 6:20 and got there at 7:31. I could not keep the truck straight the whole way there. I took off at a green light and a 1/4 way throught the intersection it turned red and I started sliding off to the right so ended up turning right :D . Once I got to work we had no customers and I was just let off  I am guessing tomorrow morn will be worse with a lot more ice.

I had to drive the L in this morning as well. I had to be at work at 5:00. I left the house about 4:15 and made it to work at 5:00. I was really surprised at how will the L handled the snow and slush. I only felt the back end slide once on the highway. The fastest I got going was probably 50 mph. I did have alittle fun once I got to work.

It's not the snow it's the ice. Snow is not a problem but when you wake up to 20 something degree weather when the streets are wet thats when it gets nasty.

No problems running errands today in the 2x4 Liberty. Didn't see any wrecks, either.

Driving up North this weekend maybe a different matter.

Weather is perfect this morning, still cold... but roads are perfect. At least from Rockwall to Dallas.

haha should have seen us in the tandum and 6 yard dump trucks... Once it started to melt and all was left was the crap between the lanes we started driving and "slushing" I drove up and down 20 doing nothing but hitting the ice/snow left on the dotted lines.. Doing about 50-60mph and running over them little long berms is fun.. Looks like a wave on the ocean lol
