Looks like I'm functional again (let's keep the Viagra jokes to a minimum on this one,eh?)

Doug, if you come in via talon.svtlightnings.com, it doesn't cookie properly because the site isn't in the same domain.

Either change the URL's back to "talon.svtlightnings.com" inside Vbulletin, or use a meta redirect to send them to the right URL...

I couldn't get logged in either until I figured out that you weren't using the talon.svtlightnings.com url as your cookie domain...

Logan,

The site hasnt changed.
The forum has for the past 6 months been in the talon.svtlightnings.com domain. I seriuosly consdiered merging the content of the 2 accounts but decided to wait. What I will likey do is now that I have BR2000 account I will change the account name to Talonclub.com so the forum and all the talon content will eventually exist on talonclub.com.. That is 3 months away after I get some sleep...

I have tried all three options in the "Cookie Domain" no change with either
.svtlightnings.com which would force the cookie to apply to all of the svtlightnings.com domain ( preferred )

.talon.svtlightnings.com cookie would apply only to talon subdomain.

and the VBdefault of blank....

No matter which setting it was screwiing up.
This morning I removed the forum.htm frame page I was using to serve banner ads and changed to an inline frame in the VB templates...

That seems to have finally fixed the issues. PLUS it allows you to see the actual Messageboard URL on the address line which makes it easier to link to stuff. The real question is why ? The Ventures Online guys did a great job in the move - Nothing else broke... No domains switched ... Just makes no sense..

I guess I should've been clearer, what you needed to change, and did end up changing was the base URL in the Vbulletin software. You had it set to http://centipede.vosn.net, which when the cookie domain is left blank, will cookie the site as such. So when one tries to access it via the svtlightnings.com domain, the vosn.net cookie is obviously invalid, hence why it wouldn't remember you if you entered via talon.svtlightnings.com

It's a moot point cuz you changed your base url back to the svtlightnings.com domain which would've fixed the issue.

I didnt change any of that ... Just the cookie domain which is now blank.

It was set for .svtlightnings.com on the other server.

Only reason you would have seen centipede.vosn.net is some redirect they did.... Combined with horked DNS..

Makes no sense

The good news is its working
