I am looking into getting the Mac catback system. Where is the best place to pick this system up?

Order it online and have them deliver it to your door.

Save yourself the money and hassle....had one and it literally fell off the truck. Get yourself a mild/wild system from Terry@PR and get a better sound and look than the MAC offers.

I'm not the first to say this and I won't be the last either. MAC catback is crap. :vomit: . Go to Terry, get a good setup that will actually be worth the money.

Weston,
For what it's worth, I've had a MAC catback on my truck for over four years with almost 40K miles on it. I bought in brand new from Don Walker, paid $293.00 for it, and it was delivered to my door in three days.

Two years ago I added a set of $430 Bassani hi-flow midpipes to the system and it sounds just as aggressive as systems costing twice as much. I've had absolutely no problems with mine. None.

I've read where some owners have had problems with rusting. Mine has not shown any signs of rust. That said, I make it a habit to clean mine up at least once a year and give it a fresh coat of high temp paint to keep it looking good. The 3.5 inch chrome pie-cut tips still look like new and require almost zero maintenance.

The MAC catback has been a good investment for me. However, if you live in a salty environment near the coast, or where road salt is used often, you might want to consider a stainless steel catback.

PR is Performance Research, Terry is the owner. He has put together a solid exhaust system that works for a lot of the Talon folks. I have the mild system on my truck and love it. It has a great tone, doesnt drone on the hwy and has great stainless steel tips that fill up the opening. He also does a wild system that is for those that want others to know they are there. I dont know of one disatisfied owner of one of his systems. He installed mine and I was very concerned until I drove away with it.. I have had people come up to me to tell me how much they liked the sound of my truck.
Go to a Talon meeting and listen to them all, then decide.

Yuck...... that one looks pretty nasty, for sure.

Besides the rusty tips, it looks like they didn't line up properly, either. Way too much pipe sticking out of the ground effects cut-out.

that looks horrible, looks like they never cleaned their tips and didn't install it properly.

I'll have to look tomorrow. Have your wife send some single friends over, I am sure I could find something then:D .

I will tell her to do that. She is still in college at UNT so I know she can find some single girls to bring to the next GtG.

$20 bucks if you get it before the scrap man does. It will need to be welded on as we cut it off the midpipes. It still has the rear hangers as designed.

I already bought a used MAC system, I just need the hangers that bolt on right after the muffler.
