View Full Version : Speedworks Dyno this Saturday (Nov. 2nd)

Just a reminder that this Saturday is the day to hit the dyno at Speedworks in Lewisville. The temperature is supposed to be in the mid to low 50s so that should help produce some good cold weather numbers!

I called the shop and I am supposed to call back later today to work out the details with another person on getting us scheduled and maybe a discount. They dont have anything going on this Saturday up there so we should have priority on their dyno.

If you want to attend please reply in this thread so I can get an idea on head count.

Thanks!

Weather may be a problem this weekend for the On Track event in Topeka, KS. If I choose not to go, I'll be there.

I won't get on the dyno, but I'll be there for immoral support:d . Maybe I'll bring a cooler full of .

What about a Hallsville trip afterward??

I dont think I will be up for a Hallsville trip afterward, I have other plans. With those temps though it would be perfect!

I decided not to call Speedworks to try to book any kind of dyno day. I dont think 10 or more people will be showing up to dyno. I will be there at 11am sharp ready to see what the new bag of tricks will do!

The Swanson chip is in and I want to see what kind of numbers the #6 will lay down on the two different chips! I am pumped!!! :d

Swanson heh? Welcome to the darkside. http://www.******.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile_darth.gif

Yep. I am very impressed with the Swanson program so far. No pinging and very mannered when driving normally but she runs like a raped ape in a hail storm when I lay into it. He was very attentive when hearing me out on what I wanted on the chip and fast getting the chip back to me.

I just want to see what kind of numbers it will put out on the dyno and at the track next month. If it does as well as I think its going to then I am going to go for the 4 way soon.

By the way Dennis I told Danny that you sent me. :tu:
Tell your bro thanks for helping me out with the Autologic chip too!

Any plans on going to Ennis Friday? I'm planning to head out there to see what 500+ HP feels like ripping off the line.:D

Crawford, just bring that baby to the track and let her lose. How would you feel being strap down to a treadmill and run full speed, over & over.:d :d

Why don't you go to Lone Star to dyno? Is SpeedWorks closer to you?

Does anyone know if Terry will be joining us Saturday? I would like him to check out my SES light that comes and goes.

I just saw him at lunch, but we never discussed it. I'd say give him a call.

I'm going to contribute to Terry's fund over the holidays by allowing him to do a little exhaust work so maybe we can look at it before the dyno on Saturday.

Ice on the motor, those are not real world readings! Why fudge your own numbers?

I just called Speedworks and they will NOT be running the dyno tomorrow if its raining. I will call them tomorrow morning if it looks like there is a chance. If they are running I will post. :flaming:

I just want to pull the heat out of the motor from the drive up there. Setting a bag of ice on the upper intake really wont do much as far a cooling the motor anyway. I doubt it will make much difference... but what the hey.

Are they worried it will melt ???

Anyone know the relationship between temperature, Atm Pressure, humidity, and Ft-lbs/sec?

1HP is 550 foot-pounds per second (ft-lb/s). So it is all about ft-lbs as usual with me.

My last DYNO was 100% humidity and 50 degrees, looks like the same weather for tomorrow.

Just wondering what would happen without having to process all that water.

They actually will not allow water to touch their dyno. So in response to your question, it is very likely they are truly afraid it will melt. I will call them tomorrow at 10am and find out if they will allow us to come out.
