My blower is for sale. This is an 03 Blower Ported by Apten with two exchangeable pullies and has gotten me 11.89 @ 113 mph on a 4lb lower. I want $650 for the blower and both pullies with no exchange. Keep your blower and sell it to offset the price of my blower. Steig is charging about $550 for a port job but then you are without a blower while yours is getting ported. I am posting this up a little premature just to let you know its out there. I need to keep the blower for about a month untill I work out my new arrangements. Thanks for looking

I can testify that the porting on that blower is one of the better port jobs out there. Two things comes to mind. One is that port jobs seem to be hit and miss. With this one, you know it works.

Second is that with this one, you get to keep your stock blower for a spare.

Two completely different dynos, not valid data. IMHO.

Much better data, but it looks like a chip or MAF change too, based on the A/F curves.
No blower envy here...

I am not saying that this isn't a good blower BTW.

Nope....same chip...same mas air flow.

I am not saying that this isn't a good blower BTW, as I think it is, just challenging data (that is my job).

Oh and be sure to use a torque wrench to install:D

Geeze Mark...what's the deal buddy? You did this same crap to me when I first got the darn thing. I still remember you getting all worked up in the threads comparing this blower to the KB. Want me to post the video again of me darn near taking Rob as I ran an 11.7x out at Ennis? Those where the days Bro.

By the way....I didn't change my MAS out until after I got the KB.

Here is a vid of the Apten Adam is selling putting out almost 17lbs of boost while sporting nothing more than a 4lb lower and 2lb upper.

Its simple scientific method and practice ... You dont trust data with LARGE variables.
To be trusted the dynos would have to have been calibrated, and all bolts torqued correctly AND the dynos done on same day with weather change parameters built in...

2.1 Principles of Good Scientific Practice

Good scientific practice includes the following aspects:

fundamentals of scientific work such as: maintaining professional standards; documenting results; questioning one's own findings; attributing honestly the contribution of others;
leadership and co-operation in research groups;
taking special account of the needs of young researchers; and
securing and storing primary data.

Science is best defined as a careful, disciplined, logical search for knowledge about any and all aspects of the universe, obtained by examination of the best available evidence and always subject to correction and improvement upon discovery of better evidence. What's left is magic. And it doesn't work. -- James Randi

What is the ``scientific method''?

The scientific method is the best way yet discovered for winnowing the truth from lies and delusion. The simple version looks something like this:

1. Observe some aspect of the universe.
2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis, that is consistent with what you have observed.
3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.
4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.
When consistency is obtained the hypothesis becomes a theory and provides a coherent set of propositions which explain a class of phenomena. A theory is then a framework within which observations are explained and predictions are made.

I agree Michael....100%. I was just trying to help out Adam with the info I have on that blower.

It is a good blower...and an unusually good port job was done on it. If a fellow wants to get in the elevens without buying nitrous and or a KB...this blower will do it.

Carlos....Adam works on Saturdays. He asked me to PM his number to you. You can call him now if you want.

No the silencer wholes are not sealed. I don't think I would seal them either. Porting these blowers is a combination of art and sience. Messing around with the blower at this point may or may not have the results you want. Here is a pic of the porting from the outside. It also has work done inside it that also affects the flow...but I have no pics of that.
