Well the truck is loaded up and I am heading out in the morning! I have 1/2 inch of rear suspension travel to work with so I will be taking it slower than normal.

The truck contains a Lightning 8.8 rear end, thanks to Ivanhoe Farms! Thanks bud! The rear will go into another project at the shop. I have a 351 block less crank and pistons, many misc Gen 1 parts, and a complete turbo system including exhaust! I have 2 inch drop shackles in the back and I should have reinstalled the stock ones for this trip.

I plan to have the truck ready for Lightning Fest 2006 and to drive it to Kansas City and meet up with the Talon Club. Wish me luck!

Fred,

It was good to visit with you this afternoon at 75/Legacy and to check-out that Gen. I Monster with that bed-full of go-fast-goodies.

Have a safe journey to FL.:tu:

Made the trip home safely! I got between 12.5 and 13.5 miles per gallon on a very heavly loaded truck. I am changing to an Edelbrock EFI spider lower and a Wilson upper with 42 lb injectors and a tune and I will get a Dyno to get you Guys some N/A numbers! It is strong!

Glad you made it safely, how many times a year do you do this trip?
You were a "long haul" guy to Narita correct?, so I guess that is where the commonality is, so no big deal.:d

Well the Victor Junior EFI came in and I mounted a Wilson Elbow on it with a 90 MM TB. The Turbo cam has been ordered and as soon as it comes in, I will install this intake system along with the turbo cam and I will be on my way with the turbo install. Right now, I have the 42 lb injectors installed and the truck is running very nicely! I will get a dyno with this set up and the GT 40 lower and post the results soon. I expect to lose some torque and maybe HP with the N/A Edelbrock EFI and turbo Cam.
That is the latest on Bluto!

I like this shot better. That set up looks pretty tall. Will it fit with a stock hood? :tu:

I have a Cervinis Ram Air hood and it should fit under it. I am going to do some measuring tomorrow and find out for sure. I will be removing my front tank this week and will be getting the rear tank sumped.

Where is Indian Rocks Beach? Is it somewhere near Vero or Melbourne?

Indian Rocks Beach is located West of Tampa and North of St. Petersburg. It is the Western most point of land in Florida. As in closest to Texas!
