Not the market to sell that in. I have one fully built and got no serious bites either. You will have to make it stock and sell your parts seperate, or bend over to sell it complete at a loss:( 22K is high for somehting that built up. It has drag raced writen all over it. Good Luck.

Yeah, I am sure there is saying somwhere like "You build up a car for your personal enjoyment not for future profit" but better written than that... You should get an ad in the SVT Enthusiast beside that gen1 for 17k:D

I did...nice list.

But you mentioned that there's no NOS/stock motor/stock blower....everyone here knows you used to run NOS.....when you don't mention something it makes it look like you're trying to hide it, and generally speaking people hide things for a reason...just an FYI.

I read the mods... The For Sale section here is for TALON members to get some exposure on the internet for things they are trying to sell. A truck is worth what someone is willing to pay.

Scenario 1 -
You are hoping to find a buyer who is going to pay a premium over the going rate ( which for a 2001 with 22k miles would be in the 23-25k range at best in this economy ) for a truck that has been HEAVILY modified. It will be a rare buyer who pays more for a 2 year old truck NO MATTER THE MODS than for a brand new one. If you come to Dallas in a couple months, when the 2003's hit the street, I can take you to a dealer or 2 that will sell brand new 2003s for under 30k ...

Scenario 2 -
Another common mistake is to price a vehicle at the loan payoff amount. Lets see you bought it for 32k and paid $500 down made 12 payments beat the crap out of it the payoff is 34,500 and that is what you think it should be worth .. Unfortunately that is not the way the economy works.

If I was to price my truck based on scenario 1 - I would market it on my site ( this one ) for 40K + ... After all I have at least that much in it .... And I have never run NOS...

Or if I used scenario 2 the price for my truck would be $0 since I have no car payment.. So you see neither is an accurate way to price a vehicle IF - BIG IF - you intend to sell it in the near future... If you prefer to market it forever in the hope that the one buyer in a million falls in love with your Truck then have fun... BUT I don’t have to allow you to try to get over on the folks that visit my site....

Have a nice day ;)

Doug, I understand where your coming from.
My '01 has less than 3000 miles, yet the "value" still has me upside down verses what I owe ......... Grrr, my D/A mistake to say the least! :crying:

i'll take 24K for mine with 31,500 and no chips....pullies etc...full 75K Factory Warranty Intact and transferable.....pukey on the PCM leads etc :D

99 percent of these rollers have no warranty unless you know the mechanic....first time in Oasis and your busted....GIGO...garbage in...garbage out..

Be aware..."Ford is on a Witchhunt" to absolve you of your warranty....

on second thought...I changed my mind....what other vehicle can I buy in this price range that draws the attn. of the Lightning? I get more...what is that thang....than you can shake a stick at....
