I have tons and tons of baseball cards that have been collected since I was a kid. Well while cleaning out the garages, my mom and I also cleaned out some closets. With ebay I think all the collector shops have been shut down? are there any more, I would like to get some items priced to see what they are worth, not to sell, well if the price is right.

what kind of cards do you have? i used to be huge into the sports card collection in the late 80s/early 90s... the only thing i collected were rookie cards though... i have so many of them from cal ripken to michael jordan's.... i dont collect them anymore really, but i intend to pass them down to my son one day... if you have any rookie cards worth mentioning, id possibly be interested in buying some if i dont have them... let me know

There used to be on in Plano at Park and Ave K. I don't know if it is still there, but I used to visit for memory's sake. Can't remember the name, though. I most recently went over there to get some card protectors for my bowl game ticket collection, but that's been a few years now. I had quite a collection of cards, but sold most of it when I needed cash back in school. I still have a few, and I'm not really sure if there is anything of value in there anymore.

I have a Nolan Ryan signed rookie card, but that wont be for sale, its actually sealed tight and locked in our safe. :D As far as other rookie cards I have i have Jeter, A-rod, Kerry wood, ben grieve, mark prior, and the list goes on. I wasn't looking to sell these, just the bulk of worthless cards I have.

Thats the problem ebay caused for collections in general, people used to pay big bucks for cards, pictures, dolls, etc because there wasnt an easy access to them. Now with ebay you can find hundreds of items.

ya i used to have alot better collection when i was younger but sold alot of it around age 16... i wish i still had all the older cards, I had Nolan Ryan, bird, magic, walter payton, man I had it all... i still have a healthy dose... but not quite the same.... what an idiot!!! its pretty impossible to collect them nowadays though with all the inserts, reflectors, grading systems, and instead of saying "i have Jordans rookie" its like "i have 1 of the 235723857 of xxxx rookie cards"

i figure everything comes back in cycles, they dont seem that popular right now, but maybe in 10-20 years when my son grows up they might be worth something again
